Maaveeran is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language superhero film directed by Madonne Ashwin and produced by Shanti Talkies. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the title role alongside Aditi Shankar, Saritha, Mysskin, Monisha Brethy, Yogi Babu, and Sunil. In the film, cartoonist Satya hears voices after an accident that try to get him to kill corrupt minister Jeyakodi.

Maaveeran Movie Story
Sathya is a comic book artist who creates a strip about Maaveeran, a brave warrior, for a Tamil newspaper. Despite his talent, he is a coward due to his father’s death years ago. Nila, a sub-editor, helps Sathya stand up for himself and they fall in love. Sathya’s family is relocated to a poorly constructed high-rise apartment by the government, leading to deteriorating conditions. When Sathya refuses to fight corruption, he is labeled mentally unstable and his family is evicted.
Despite facing brutality, Sathya remains passive, eventually sacrificing himself. After waking up, a mysterious voice guides him to fight against corruption. However, when the voice is used against him, Sathya is framed and loses everything, ultimately dying. The voice accuses Sathya of betrayal for personal gain.
